Since I don't have a greenhouse, so I built a lighted shelf unit that I use for growing some of my orchids. This has been working quite well. I have other orchids growing in the livingroom near a large east-facing window.

I started growing orchids several years ago. They've been lots of fun to grow because several varieties are suited quite well to growing indoors. I also love orchids because the blooms
are so beautiful, and they can last for months. One of my favorite varieties of orchids is Ludisia Discolor. These are easy to grow, and they also very interesting leaves and flowers.
