Q: Why doesn't the club have a budget (bank account, treasurer, etc.)?
A: If the club ever grows to the point where we need to be come an official
501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we'll institute a budget, elect a treasurer, and
so on at that time.
Until then, all activities will be a result of individual member donations of
non-monetary gifts such as time, food, or other personal resources. Monetary
donations will not be accepted.
Q: Do you have to consider yourself a "Bear" to be part of the group?
A: You do not have to consider yourself a Bear to be part of the group.
In fact, there isn't even a consensus in the Bear Community regarding
what a Bear is. Our only membership requirement is that you comply with the club
rules.
Q: Why doesn't the group have more activities?
A: We can do more, but we need people to help us plan, organize, and host activities. If you have ideas, let us know.
